My Dirty Old God*esses
Larissa Kopp und Florian Aschka
The performance My Dirty Old God*esses is part of a multiyear project by Larissa Kopp and Florian Aschka that, based on Sigmund Freud’s collection of antiquities, focuses on archetypical pictures and objects from classical antiquity.
These artefacts have several levels of meaning: the connection with Freud, his theories, and the story of his flight from Vienna to London in 1938. In a critical examination of Freud’s theories, we question his ideas about sexuality and queer them.
The performance My Dirty Old God*esses took place on 30 June as part of the finissage of Queering the KHM.
