The video work Pain Scale shows fantasies of vulnerable, damaged bodies. In the process, chronic experiences of pain are playfully re- and deconstructed.
The films, photo series, and reliefs by Paul Prothesis operate at the interface of care, trauma, and art. They are the first attempts at finding identity, public positioning, and establishing contact.
